Counseling for Peace of Mind is one of the few providers that has the ability to work with athletes recovering from an eating disorder. We understand your passion and commitment to your sport and work toward your success with an individualized approach. We also work closely to assist in developing a team of professionals consisting of a nutritionist, medical doctors, and athletic trainers.
Treatment Approach
We understand that working towards recovery from an eating disorder can be challenging. Sessions are conducted utilizing FBT.
What is FBT?
Family Based Therapy, is one of the few research-based eating disorder treatments which consists of intensive outpatient therapy for children, and adolescents allowing clients to remain at home during treatment, under the advisement of a medical doctor. FBT empowers parents and guardians to have an active role in their childβs road to recovery.

Our Eating Disorder support group is for teens and young adults looking for additional support on their road to recovery. In the support group, we focus on improving body image, eating disorder thoughts/beliefs, self-esteem and relapse prevention techniques. Call today to find out more!
